I remember ‘The 10 Commandments’ like it was yesterday. Fifty cents at the local theater for a childs admission. And unlike today, this movie was rereleased unchanged (at least in my home town) a few years in a row. And ‘Ben Hur’ was an all time favorite as well. But ‘The Planet of the Apes’ freaked me out as a kid. How could we let the apes take over. And the sequels. ‘Beneath the Planet of the Apes’ - when the humans took those skin masks off - I couldn’t sleep for weeks. To bad it was so hard to get movies back in the day (circa early 70’s). I would have watched these a million times.

Charlton Heston will be missed.
